A true old-fashioned fishing village, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle or La Cruz as it is known locally, receives ships from all over the world throughout the year. Nautical travelers are awed by these beaches, surrounded by lush green palm trees and jungle foliage cascading down from the Sierra de Vallejo Mountains.
