We were too late to hear the music but had a great meal. We came with Gord and Arlene also from Nanaimo. The fish and chips were truly excellent and the service was very good. Hope to get back again on this trip. Highly recommended!

Had the fish and chips, coronas, listened to a great band and watched the sunsent...so good! had to come back and do it again 2 nights later. In fact we took a vow that we would have to do a repeat next winter.

Just home from Bucerias. We spent 2 days at Phil's on the beach enjoying buckets of beer and the best marguritas in Bucerias!! You have to check out Phil's when your in Mexico.

Sunset is awesome! You always feel welcomed by Phil & Etna. Great view of the beach and of course the sunset. Great food for everyone. I definitely recommend sunset for a night out!

Phil, we were in your restaurant a couple of times last Jan. In talking to you, you said you may have some leads to stay in Bucerias for a month or so. Jan Feb 2010. Can you think of any off the top of your head we could enquire about. We checked out the web site you gave us Best of Bucerias, but cant find quit what we are looking for, if you have any suggestions we would appreciate it. There are many that claim the title but there is only ONE that answers the bell everytime. For the best fish and chips in the entire bay area - you can't beat Sunset on the Beach in Bucerias. With consistent quality and presentation you'll never be disappointed. And the rest of the menu is just as appetizing. That what happens when you have a great combination of cooks (and owners)with Etna (Mexico) and Phil (Brit). So you have an International choice. And because of this married couple, the atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming and suitable for the entire family. Sit on the upstairs balcony to soak up the sun as it puts itself to bed. But don't forget to also soak up those fish and chips at the same time for believe me, you'll never regret it.

Went to Sunset on February 14th this year, it was amazing! They brought in a special guest Chef and prepared a special menu. The choices were: For appetizer - Carrot & Ginger Soup or Shrimp Cocktail shredded lettuce and Marie rose sauce, served w/fresh baguette & butter - My wife and I ordered both and I was shocked at how good the soup was, I would never have ordered it in the past! For our meal we had a choice of Poached Salmon fillet with herb butter or Pan fried Chicken Breast with bacon, mushroom and red wine sauce served w/new potatoes, green beans and carrots - WOW! Again we ordered each one and shared, the salmon was incredibly tender, the sauce on the chicken was packed with flavor! For desert the options were Strawberries and Cream or Chocolate Cake with fresh Cream - HAD to have both! Actually, I ate all the chocolate cake, could not help myself! It was a very enjoyable night, also got to meet a Mr. & Mrs. Beesley! The Sunset Beach Bar was our favourite spot on the beach. Phil, Etna and their staff made us feel like family. We miss them already, and can't wait to go back. Do yourself a favour, and drop in to see them when your in Bucerias, tell them Mike and Sylvia sent you.

hiaa im phil's Daughter i came to vist my dad in november 2008 and had a good time with him , etna and my new baby brother :) its a good bar and the food is very nicee im not just saying this cause its my dad really the food is nice also had a good time i cant wait to go back sumtime this year :) x
