This is a great family outing and taking pictures of the family or friends in such personal settings is very rewarding. The Puerto Vallarta Zoo, located about 30 minutes from Puerto Vallaarta and not only offers visitors the opportunity to get very close to nature and its inhabitants, but it also offers the opportunity to interact with the animals.

The Puerto Vallarta Zoo has been opened since September 2005,  and is located in Mismaloya, just south of Vallarta. This Zoo boasts more than 100 animal species including the mammals, reptiles and birds that are found throughout the five hectare area located in a simple structure at the foot of the mountain.

RECOMMENDATIONS - Wear comfortable shoes, sun block & insect repellent, a cap or hat and buy a food bag for the animals ($50)
