In the states of Jalisco and Nayarit Mexico, the Sierra Madre Occidental is an important habitat that provides shelter to a wide variety of tropical and temperate flora and fauna, including some 300 species of orchids, 400 Bird species, a diversity of Mammals and other forms of wildlife, including Reptiles and an incredible number of colorful butterflies.

You'll be escorted by Unimog into the remote, traditional villages of the Mexican Outback and uncover the ecosystem and wildlife of the mountains and jungles of the Sierra Madre.

4X4 Fun - This is like your very own journey back in time, when life was less hectic and the simple events of the day had greater meaning. Escaping the suburbs of Vallarta in the specially designed Mercedes Benz unimog jeeps, you'll be taken on a voyage of discovery over chassis-challenging terrain, through mountain streams and past long forgotten settlements on a mission to reach the heart of the Sierra.

Tropical forest wildlife hike - We then venture deeper in the forest vegetation, where our expert eco-guides take you on an extraordinary 45-minute educational nature hike, inspiring you to explore the wonderful flora and fauna tucked away under the canopy of the jungle.

Now and then visitors may stop, attracted by something remarkable, such as a riot of flowers blooming from apparently dead branches or an Iguana soaking up the sun, but more often, travelers pass by the long stretches of thickets, jungles, and marshes without stopping. However, a little knowledge can blossom into recognition and discovery, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Authentic mexican food and culture We'll visit a local Mexican home, where you'll savour freshly prepared corn tortillas, beans and salsas hand-made on the spot by the resident matriarch. See how these typical Mexican families live sustainably, growing and preparing their own foods as they have for centuries.

Complimentary drinks - At the end of the day, a golden expanse of virgin coastline awaits you, where you'll enjoy a open bar and an 'al fresco' lunch freshly prepared by your dedicated guides. Kick back and relax on the white sands of your own private secluded beach or cool off in the waves of Banderas Bay.
