Tour description

Visit the mountains surrounding Nuevo Vallarta and the private Agave-rich Jaguar Ranch.  Your tour begins with a safety introduction and a brief practice before saddling up. Private trails designed for horses lead you to the river beds where you will learn about the local customs and plant-life.  Let the horses show you the Sierra Madre mountains as you make your way to a scenic mountain top overlooking the bay.  The tour then heads the hills to learn about the pre-Hispanic Indians of the area.

Additional trails lead you back to the ranch for an optional snack and tequila tour.

A great way to get to know the real Mexico. Ranches, plantations, jungle and Pre-Hispanic Cultures.  The horses - Fully automatic. A couple of carrots required to start (provided). Horses available for experienced and beginners. Tour duration - 4 hours including orientation, Mexican-style lunch, bottled water and transportation.

 Departures

• We go out twice a day: 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
• Our Bucerías location: Highway to Tepic #69 Bucerías, 3 blocks past Pie in the Sky, (across from Notary Public).

Participant Guideline

Guests must arrive at least 20 minutes prior to departure.   We recommend you to wear clothes that you don't mind getting all muddy and wet. Sneakers, closed toe shoes or Teva style sandals are the best.   Children ages 4-7 must ride with an adult.   Experienced Children 8 and older are allowed to ride on their own, however, they would pay adult price.   You are welcome to bring your camera, however, unless you can make sure it won't get muddy and wet, we suggest you to better purchase one of our affordable Photo and Video Packages, this way you can leave your camera for that Malecón, sunset or restaurant picture.   Bring some money for gratuities, souvenirs and Tequila!

How to get there - From anywhere in PV just take a cab to our address ($15-17 USD). All cab drivers know where to take you, just tell them you're going to get WILD in Bucerías!
