This family run Traditional Mexican style food restaurant (Owners Teresa & Jose and family) have been open since 1986 and Famar is celebrating its 25 year anniversary! Seeing Bucerias grow to what it is today. Come and enjoy this family run restaurant and experience a great atmosphere!

A local newsletter recently interviewed Famar Restaurant Bucerias about the history of this restaurant - its an amazing story! They had to teach their eldest son Ricardo how to drive a car to run back and forth from their home to bring supplies from their refrigerator to the restaurant because there was no electricity here when they first opened.

Fajita Famar - Shrimp, Chicken & Beef and Asadero cheese grilled with a secret sauce.

BBQ Pork Ribs - Grilled Ribs with sweet and tangy sauce served with fries and veggies.

Coconut Shrimp - lightly coconut breaded shrimp with sweet and sour sauce served with rice and steamed vegetables.

Mexican Plate - A stuffed Cheese Chile Relleno, chicken quesadilla and chicken & cheese enchilada served with rice, beans & guacamole.

Tortilla Soup - Zesty tomato base with tortilla chips, avocado, cilantro and cheese.

Burgers - A variety of burgers (chicken, fish, shrimp and traditional beef) served with fries, salad or onion rings.

Steak & Shrimp - Flank Steak with shrimps cooked to your favorite style served with veggies & fries.

Chicken or Shrimp Stir-fry - (Chicken lightly battered or stir-fried) Broccoli, carrots, onions, zucchini, bell peppers served on a bed of rice.

    Great place to eat, clean, good service, lots of choices and great prices. Spend three months in the winter in Bucerias and go to Famars , average of once a week. Enjoy you won't be disappointed

    My wife and i have been going to Bucerias for 7 years now and we make it a must to include this fantastic restaurant,very friendly atmosphere,great food,very clean.I abselutely recomend this place.
