Getting Grocerias around Bucerias
Bucerias residents and visitors now can shop for almost everything right here in Bucerias.
With the opening of the Comercial Mexicana Mega store, we now have the convenience of shopping in Bucerias. They also own the Costco franchise in Mexico (which is in nearby Puerto Vallarta).

|
Open 7:00 am - 11:00 pm
|
They have a fresh fish section, meat counter, bakery, groceries, clothes, electronics, etc. Try the local brands rather than the imports, you might be surprised by the quality and you will save because of their aggressive pricing!
TIP: There are a few price check stations around the store if you want to verify a price.
ANOTHER TIP: The people that bag your groceries make their money only from tips, a few pesos would be appreicated. For a $500 bill, $5 is fine.

Wal-Mart Plaza on Highway 200 just outside Bucerias and near Nuevo Vallarta is finally open! In addition to the Wal-Mart, a new multi-screen cinema, gym, restaurants and stores are being added ongoing. |
Convenience Stores

Oxxo is the Mexican version of the 7-11. Great place to pick up some Cervezas, milk or even an iced Cappucinno. Bucerias has two on one end of the town, the other at the end leaving town. Many of the local bills can be paid here too! (Just take your bill to them, they charge a very small fee to process it - it's worth it)

Tienda/Mini Super
A tienda is similar to our corner stores. They might not stock everything, and you might have to dust off the merchandise, but they are convenient and surprisingly honest.
Bucerias Sunday Market
The Sunday maket the place to be for fresh fruit, fresh shrimp, small household items and many other things. Shop where the nationals shop and save! The Bucerias Sunday Market is located up the "River" which is the sandy road that crosses the middle of town. During the rainy season, it really is a river.
